Greetings from the Pacific Power Association (PPA).
The PPA Secretariat is pleased to provide you with the summary information on this year’s 19th PPA Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition which will be hosted by PNG Power Limited (PPL) based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The PPA conference will offer delegates a combination of speeches, donor presentations, technical presentations, Utility Board Members Workshop, a free day for delegates to network and Trade Exhibition of products and services by our suppliers.
In addition, the PPA will also concurrently hold the 5th Engineers Workshop.
Each year the conference gains more participants and it is the largest energy conference in the region, focusing on all aspects of electricity in the Pacific Islands. The 18th PPA Conference held in Pago Pago was attended by over 130 delegates with 30 trade booth displays.
DATE & VENUE
The Conference venue rotates between the North and South hemispheres, which provide the delegates with the opportunity to re-look at their travel and prepare them for the next conference.
This year’s conference will be conducted in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea from 5 – 9 July 2010. It will be the first time Papua New Guinea will host the Annual Conference.
The venues for this year’s conference are the Holiday Inn and Lamana Hotel, which are the official accommodation venue for all delegates and also the venue for the 5th Engineer’s Workshop. The Sir John Guise Stadium (located 5 minutes from the Hotel), which will host the Trade Exhibition, technical presentations and the official opening of the 19th PPA Annual Conference.
