The PPA Secretariat is pleased to provide you with the summary information on this year’s 18th PPA Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition which will be hosted by the American Samoan power utility, American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA) based in Pago Pago, American Samoa.
The PPA conference will be held from August 24-28 2009 and offer delegates a combination of speeches, donor presentations, technical presentations, Utility Board Members Workshop, a free day for delegates to network and Trade Exhibition of products and services by our suppliers.
Each year the conference gains more participants and it is the largest energy conference in the region, focusing on all aspects of electricity in the Pacific Islands. The 17th PPA Conference held in the Cook Islands was attended by over 130 delegates with 30 trade booth displays
DATE & VENUE
The Conference venue rotates between the North and South hemispheres, which provide the delegates with the opportunity to re-look at their travel and prepare them for the next conference.
This year’s conference will be conducted in Pago Pago , American Samoa from August 24 – 28 2009. It will be the first time American Samoa will host the Annual Conference.
The venues for this year's conference are the Tradewinds Hotel, which is the official accommodation venue for all delegates and the Lee Auditorium (located 45 minutes from the hotel), which will host the Trade Exhibition, technical presentations and the official opening of the 18th PPA Annual Conference.
