Accommodation for delegates (98 Rooms) has been block booked/reserved at the Tradewinds Hotel.

Late check out: Late departures up to 6pm are available, subject to availability at 50% of rate being charged. Beyond 6pm the full rate will be applicable.

Early check in: To guarantee early check in, the room must be pre-booked and prepaid at least one (1) day prior to arrival.

Accommodation booking policies
Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations using the Tradewinds Reservation Form provided.

Reservations will not be confirmed without credit card guarantee or deposit.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation must be received 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee of a night’s revenue.

Payment: Unless prior credit facilities have been approved, full repayment is required in cash, bank check (cheque) or approved credit card only.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be included in the cost of the room rate quoted. This will be offered as a Tropical Island Buffet as follows:-

Fresh local fruit, yogurt, range of cereals, white and brown bread, spreads, fruit juices, water, tea and coffee.

Rental Cars: The Tradewinds Hotel operate their own rental fleet. Prices range from USD$70-USD$80 per day. Rental cars must be turned in upon check-out.

Ground Transportation to and from Tafuna International Airport & between the conference venues

It is important for all delegates to inform the Secretariat of their arrival and departure times to Pago Pago so the host utility, ASPA, are informed of your arrival times in order for them to meet and transport you to the Tradewinds Hotel. Please fill in the Accommodation & Travel form once your travel details are confirmed and forward it to PPA.

During the week, a shuttle service will be available to transport delegates between the two official conference venues. A schedule will be made available to all registered delegates during the conference week.

When filling in the Immigration Form provided to you on your flights, please indicate you are visiting Pago Pago for Business purposes.

Countries listed below are not required to have ENTRY PERMIT to enter American Samoa. Travelers from the listed countries must hold a Non-Expired Machine Readable Passport and expiration date must not be more that 6 months from the passport expiration date.

All US passport holders are free to enter without an Entry Permit.

ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER AMERICAN SAMOA: Travelers or Passport Holders from Countries not mentioned on the “American Samoa Entry Permit Waiver Country” list are required to obtain an Entry Permit to enter the territory.

Permit application may be obtain by Sponsors at the local immigration office. Entry Permit Application require the following documents :

ASPA will be sponsoring delegates whom hold passports from countries not stated in the waiver:

• Traveler must provide a copy of their Round-trip ticket to and from American Samoa
• Traveler must provide a copy of valid Passport
• Traveler is to pay $40 USD for application for entry permit (Non-refundable) (This payment must be paid upfront before application is processed).

All payments must in money-order/cashiers check (NO CASH). All Checks must be made to American Samoa Government.

RE: PPA Conference Entry Permit. PLEASE NOTE it is $40.00 per traveler/applicant.

ALL DOCUMENTS AS REQUESTED ABOVE ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO TIRESA LUTU-SEIULI.

Permit copies will be sent to traveler upon approval.

Customs
Customs: No duty is levied on clothing or personal effects (including sports equipment). In addition, each visitor may bring the following items free of duty into American Samoa:

Imports: 200 cigarettes or 250g of cigars or tobacco, 1 ltr of Spirits, other goods for personal use up to US$250.

US Citizens returning from American Samoa are permitted a duty free allowance of US$800 rather than the usual US$400 if it all originated in American Samoa.
